The Jetsetters

By Amanda Eyre Wood

Wackadoodle and weighty!

Kudos to author Amanda Eyre Wood for masterfully juggling multiple memorable characters, exploring the lasting effects of an abusive father on his adult kids, and doing so with wit and style.

There’s heartache in the banter between three siblings and their mom. The tension lasts forever – I was well into the last third of the book when my hope for a good resolution started to wane. But the ending does tie up loose ends. Despite the sobering topic, this book is promoted as a beach read for its humor and wackadoodle setting.

Impressive balancing act.
