The Lincoln Highway

By Amor Towles

What drives a man?

In a throwback to the 1950s, the story takes us on a cross-country journey with a group of guys running from the law. Told from the point of view of each character, the story unfolds as we discover conflicting intentions in the group. I loved the language—1950’s bulls eye—and internal thought reflecting that even in a more innocent time, heartache is universal and can drive a man to hit the road.
